What cookies and browser storage are
A cookie is a small text file a website saves in your browser. Browser storage (often called localStorage) works in a similar way but stays on your device and is not sent with every page request. Both let a site remember things between pages.

Ahrefs Web Analytics follows the same rule (it loads only after you accept) and does not set cookies.
In every country, the items in this table are set only after you select Accept in the banner. Before that, none of them exist and none of these tools load. No thanks keeps them off. A Global Privacy Control signal keeps them off even after Accept, and a Do Not Track signal keeps them off unless you select Accept yourself.
The email sign up box sets no cookies. Joining does not change your analytics choice, and your email address is never stored in your browser or sent to analytics. See Email sign up in the Privacy Policy.
When you follow a link to sniffandshift.com, Google Analytics adds a _gl code to the link so your visit continues on the store. That is a link parameter, not a cookie on this Site.
Cookies on sniffandshift.com
Checkout, sign in and accounts take place on sniffandshift.com, our Shopify store. Shopify and the store set their own cookies there, described in the store Privacy Policy and in Shopify's cookie list at https://www.shopify.com/legal/cookies.
Changing your choice
- Choose No thanks in the banner. If the banner is closed, the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page opens it again. No thanks deletes the _ga cookies, sdt_sid and sdt_adclick at once.
- Use the reset button on Your Privacy Choices. It clears your choice, deletes the _ga cookies, sdt_sid and sdt_adclick, and shows the banner again so you can choose. Nothing loads again unless you select Accept.
- Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser. Analytics will not load on this Site at all while it is on. (Do Not Track also keeps analytics off, but an Accept you choose yourself turns them on.)
- Clear this Site's cookies and site data in your browser settings. This also empties your cart.
- Most browsers let you block cookies. If you block the cookies in the first table, the cart and your banner choice may not work.
